The Sohma family is cursed when ever they are embraced or stressted they transform into a zodiac animal. The family have have kept this a secret for generations. Until Tohru Honda stumble unto 3 of the zodiac repesentitives. Then a whole new adventure begins.

Tohru Honda- 16-year-old Tohru Honda is a nice and kind person. Her calm, caring compassion is obvious as she kindly puts everyone else's needs above her own. Kyo Sohma- 16-year-old Kyo is the cat and transformed infront of Tohru many times. He challenges Yuki to duel many times but always fails in his attemps.He is rough,rude,short tempered, violent but deep down inside hes a soft and kind person. Yuki Sohma- 16-year-old Yuki is a sweet and popular person in school, of course hes attractive (i dun't think so) and even has his own fanclub! He is born in the year of the rat so this makes Kyo his biggest rival. The main characters are those 3 although there are tons of characters.

The animation is cute and big eyes haha.Im just not fond of long limbs so much.

Read the manga its MUCH better then the anime. The anime was too short anyways.

I dont know if its the different things that have happened in my life, from moving all the time, going to a boarding school, having my sister pass away at a young age of what, but this anime really struck me. I originally saw a plot and thought "oh another romantic comedy" but I was really wrong. While it is to some extent a romantic comedy, it hits deeper then any anime I've seen. This series really tackles some deep deep issues, about happiness, dealing with loss, friendships and more. This is one of the few animes that I think almost everyone can enjoy. The guys will like the humor and the constant fighting of the cat and rat (as well as the funniest lines from the dog) but the girls will love it for its romance, and the deep emotions it stirs up. I think even parents that would normaly be like "what are they thinking with anime?" would like it. I've introduced this to a number of people as their first anime, and everone I've introduced it to has loved it. I even know people that dislike all other animes but still like this. The animation is not the best, but it is good enough to look at, not so bad you run away screaming. The story line more then makes up for it. The songs are very touching, opening and ending songs are really sweet. This anime is a must watch for people who like a little romantic comedy without being perverse.

well this show was certainly a good drama... i thought that when the dog laughed in the first episode was halarious... but the ending seemed kind of weak... though i liked it, thought it could have been stronger... and the cat... at the end... kinda strange what happened there.... still not to sure what happened or how it happened... partially due to the darkness of the colours there combined with my lack of knowledge on how to brighten up my screen but overall this show was pretty good and i would recommend it as a good drama and comedy... lol man that dog laughing at here for that long still cracks me up.... and how sweet and caring is the main character... pretty cute too... nice....
