Story:
The story is about Dr. Tenma who saves a child who was shot in the head. His career takes a turn for the worse when he realizes that the child he saved is a psychotic killer and Tenma tracks him in hopes of stopping his murder spree. |
Characters:
Dr. Tenma is the main character you will be following, Johan is the boy who Dr. Tenma saved. There is a host of unique and intriguing side characters that makes this one of the best dramas ever . |
Music:
The music is perfect for the mood, dramatic music created by piano , and the end music is based on the childhood fantasy story. Something like Brother Grimm. |
Animation:
The animation is superb, a visual feast that adds to the energy of the overall concept of this anime. The one thing you notice is how well the settings for both Germany, Chek and Japan's backdrops are drawn. |

Comments:
Stunning, masterful, you'll be in awe and you'll feel like you're not watching an anime but an episode of ER or something like that. A must see and Top 3 of 2004. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 10 So far I would say t his anime has been really good as far as it goes, and such. The story line is quite interesting also and it leads you to wonder about "what's gonna happen next?" and such. This wouldn't be an anime for people who's all out for Dragon Ball or such but if your into serious anime's then this one would be good. ( People who's a Dragon Ball fan, Naruto, Bleach, ETC. may still like to watchi this ) Submitted on December 05, 2006 |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 9 This show had more depth in the characters, the story and ever other aspect than I've ever seen. It was excitign and extremely unpredictable. The last couple episodes were the most awesome episdoes possible. BTW: In my opinion the first 10 episodes weren't great, so stick with it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 8 The Animation and Music are Definately well done. The Storyline is intricate and detailed and the research into germanic cultures is superb. I find some of the plot severely depressing but that's not necissarily a drawback given the anime's theme. I am however dissapointed in that I have noticed several times (at least 3 specific times among many by ep 70) that the plot seems to climax as if heading for a complete story finalization, goes flat, and then picks itself up off the floor again moving onward. This type of dragging on reminds me of several television series I've seen that "Don't Know when to quit" which try to continue a strong storyline but end up watering it down, thus ruining whatever it was that made the original story worthwhile. I will have to see if Monster keeps going like this as well. Otherwise good Anime overall. Submitted on February 17, 2006 |
