Gakuen Alice begins in a small village, with Sakura MIkan. Her best friend Hotaru moves away after deciding to attend Alice Academy, or Gakuen Alice, a place for people with 'alice abilities'. Mikan decides to follow her to this strange place, and the young village girl finds herself in a city. After being rescued from child abductors by a teacher, she is told that she has an 'alice' and is invited to attend. Now a student at Gakuen Alice, and reunited with her best friend Hotaru... the fun begins. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I rated the plotline a four because frankly, I don't find it very original or interesting. A lot of it is more odd than anything else, not everything makes much sense, so on, and so forth.

The characters have very defined personalities, and it's extremely humorous to watch their personalities clash. The rating I gave was lowered to a seven, mostly because the characters do not always have consistent personalities, and at times they act more odd than anything else.

The music is alright. By opinion, it's rather annoying at times, but tolerable. It all depends on preference.

I think that the animation of Gakuen Alice is the only reason I actually care about it. The character's emotions, the actions, the arguments... it's all so humorously animated, which I really love.

I only recommend this if you're looking for a laugh or two, rather than a well-developed and interesting plot with deep chaarcterizations and all that jazz. It can get odd, it can get extremely bizarre, but nonetheless, it's very amusing.

At first, I wasn't interested, but as I watched more and more episodes, I got hooked. It's soo funny... makes me burst out laughing when I think of things that happened in the anime. The only thing that disappoints me is the long wait between each episode, but I still give it a 10 xD.

for me, alice academy was a very nice show.. It's funny and the characters are really interesting. I think many would love the show like I do. I like the show because the main story was very easy to understand and not complicated. Actually, I think they should put a part 2 or season 2of alice academy.
