Story:

This story is about Riui or Louie who is a wizard. He's not your ordinary wizard, instead of staves and magic he takes his enemies down using fists and swords. Now if you really take it in, this is hilariously funny. Even if you watch it it probably seems like it doesn't have a storyline everything adds up when you think about it. Yes, Riui gets stuck in a bunch of misfourtune that makes it amusing. He dreams to go on adventures and get out of the place. Finnaly he meets a group of adventurers, but they are all girls.

Characters:

Riui - A bold guy, he prefers fists over wands anyday. His skills with magic are well fought as well. He is the magic schools, headmasters son. Merissa - The priestess, she comes to the temple one day, to find her "hero" Hoping it is a dashing charming knight, instead find that Riui is her hero. Unfoutunate girl has to follow Riui no his adventures. Mirel - Your average thief, gold, money, loot she goes on adventures looking for loot and money. But most of the time she doesn't get a single thing. Jeani - She's a rough tought type of girl. She teaches Riui how to fight with a sword. She's a paladin.

Music:

In my opinion the music kinda good, I like the intro song, and the ending song but that's just my opinion.

Animation:

This series has something sort of like Record of the Lodoss War, but much better. This was made around 2000 so don't expect super awesome graphics. Over all i think the graphics are quite good, but I can't saw totally awesome.

Comments:

Ever get the chance try this anime, it's a action comedy. For me it's one of the top anime I've ever seen.

While the background story really needs some polishing (it's kind of... simple.), the charas are worth the trouble of getting this. Louie is such a hilarious character sometimes... no matter how good he tries, something is always bound to blow up, even if it blows up in his favour in the end. The story itself seems to be more a connection of loose episodes and regarding the main story, you could actually cut out half of them and still miss nothing. However, why would you? The episodes are so funny, that I really don't care about storyline and every episode can be seen as a step in character- and relationship-development between the main characters. While at the beginning the three girls do so not like Louie, in the later chapters they begin to trust him and depend on him. Also they manage to pull the humor off without going into the infamous "kiddy" or "super-deformed" mode. Definitely a good thing. If you get your hold on the english dubbed version, take it. The translations are a bit off, but the voice-actors did a really good job in the emotional sector. I actually like the english voices better than the japanese. This is of course only my opinion, but the japanese voice-actors sound alittle bleak to me. It's probably not the best anime around but fun to watch nonetheless, even if I do not watch the whole anime over and over, only a few selected episodes (like the ones with Conrad)..
