Story:

Tekkaman Blade is an anime that tells the story how earth is attacked by an alien race called Radam. Earth is suffering severe loses but suddenly a mysterious person appears who claims that he has lost his memory but has the ability to transfrom into a Tekkaman. This man was found by the Space Knights, a group founded to find ways to defeat the radam, and he stays with them. He can take on the Radam with ease but because of his dangerous actions and his memory loss, he is refferred to as D-Boy (dangerous boy). But as the battle rages on, strange things start to happen, the military is trying to get a hold of D-Boy's secret so that they can make their own Tekkaman, how come that D-boy can only stay tekkaman for 30 minutes and why does it seem that D-Boy has a bond with most of the tekkaman.

I find the plot quite fun and nice to follow. It ain't just an anime where D-boy rushes out to kick some alien butt and then rushes back and so, the creators also paid attention to the relationships between all the people although it wouldn't have hurt to add a bit more romance to it, now it is more like, they give you the idea and you need to come up with the rest.

Characters:

The creators took their time to develop the characters of the series. Not every character's background is being given but you can quickly determine with what kind of person you're dealing with.

Animation:

Well, the level of animation isn't like todays standards, it is more a drawing style like Saint Seiya in case you should know that series. But even an "older" drawing style has it's charms (at least that is what i think) but don't get me wrong, it ain't an animation style like in the 70's, the level of animation is still very acceptable, you just don't have to expect an animation level that is state of the art.

Enjoyment
I really enjoyed watching this anime, even after these years and after watching more recent anime, I still like to watch this anime. The first few episodes are just to get the show on the road but from the moment the show starts to get going, it doesn't stop. I can't exactly say "well, that exact thing is what i like about this anime" but i'll try it anyway. The strong plot is certainly 1 thing that lets me like this anime but I also think that it is just a good combination of strong plot and nice characters, and probably other things I can't come up with right now, that make me like this show.

Overall
Well, this is an anime that is worth watching. If your looking for state-of-the-art anime qua animation and all, then I'm affraid that this isn't right up your alley but if you're looking for strong anime with good plots and so, then this is something worth your time

a very nice review. It seems to be a quite honest review and that is sometimes hard to find with all those reviews that say that their anime is the best in the world.
