Story:
Ayashi No Ceres is another master piece made by the author who goes under the name Watase Yu. She is one of my personal favourites and that's why I strongly recommend this very catching anime series about Aya Mikage and her twin brother Aki who was driven apart by their cruel fate. On their sixteenth birthday they got invited to their grandfather’s house, an invitation that resulted in Aya and Aki learning the truth about themselves and the Mikage family. They learned that Aya was obsessed with the reincarnated soul of Ceres, a tennyo who got her hagoromo stolen from her and made her stuck here on earth to become the wife of a man she did not love. Aki. Ceres only wish is to get her hagoromo back so that she can return home but also to destroy and kill the Mikage family. Aya finds herself parted from her brother and sucked into a new world, where she on her way to win this battle, to find the hagoromo, meets Touya and true love. |

Characters:
Aya Mikage: Aya surprised me. She’s so cute, I love the girls in Watase Yu’s series, they are so cute! Pretty! Oh so pretty! She fights. I know that you’re supposed to get the feeling that she feels a little lost and insecure at the beginning and even in the end but I know and I feel! That that’s not the case. She’s got the strength and you can especially see it when it comes to her and Touya. |

Music:
I really didn’t think of the music while watching, which is both good and bad, depending on how you see it. The opening song though, Scarlet, how can you not notice that one? That is one great song! Makes your eyes water filled before the episode has even started. The intro is so great. The ending theme is a disaster though. |

Animation:
The characters are beautiful and the girls are pretty. This author has really got her own style when it comes to her characters. They are so well drawn, so pretty and gorgeous and everything on the same time. Great colouring as well. Light and dark. |

Comments:
I love Ayashi No Ceres. But I also love the author so I knew before I watched it that I would love it. I recommend it. See it. It's great. I was.. no words. I'll just be quiet. Watch it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 8 Definitely a great one to catch. Though I have the manga for it, the manga is definitely much better but hey it's close enough for me. The romantic part of this is actually protrayed much better in the manga than in the anime. In this anime, the romance is somewhat like in Fushigi Yuugi, the main two characters turn out to like each other or be attracted to each other without knowing. In this case, Touya somehow was attracted to Aya, basically I believe was the powers she held as being Ceres and him being what she was searching for many years. What happened later, was purely just nature...... #For those who dont like this, usually are not the kind to catch this kind of genre. :) Submitted on April 30, 2006 |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 4 *disgusted look* No, not really, Ceres was ok. But there was way too much romance in it. I don't mean that I wouldn't like romantic series, 'cause I do, but Ceres is just too romantic in a wrong way. But it's irritatingly catchy series, I'm a bit hooked. And, it's far better than some crappy Fushigi Yûgi, which I absolutely can't tolerate. *honestly disgusted look* Ceres is just fine if you don't have anything better to watch, but you should be prepared that your brain will probably melt. :D Submitted on March 23, 2006 |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 8 I first came in on this series in episode 12. From then on, I couldn't stop watching it until the end. At some point, I decided to watch the series again properly from start to finish. It wasn't as enthralling the second time around, but definitely worth watching at least once.
