Kudo Shinichi, Japan's most famous high school student detective, have a dream of becoming a famous detective just like Sherlock Holmes. He was on a date with his childhood friend Ran Mouri in an amusement park but after he saw two men dressed in black having illegal trade with another man, he was knocked out by one of the man dressed in black and was fed a medicine that was supposed to kill him. He woke up and found out that his body turned small into an elementary kid and he eventually end up in Ran Mouri's home who's dad is a detective that still can't solve cases properly. Shinichi thought of a new name for himself since he turned small, Edogawa Conan, based off from a few famous detectives' names. His old neighbor and friend, Professor Agasa made some advanced gadgets for Conan to compensate for his small body, which come very helpful throughout the show for Conan. He also met couple of new friends throughout the show and they help him solve cases sometimes as well. The interesting thing when Conan solve the cases is that he shoots a needle at Ran Mouri's dad, Kogoro Mouri which makes him fall alseep, and then Conan hide behind something and by using a voice changer on his bow tie he can solve the case by using Kogoro's voice. He shot someone else with the needle sometimes as well by accident but he still had to finish the case with that other person's voice.

The characters are very unique throughout the episodes so its hard to describe them all. The main characters including Conan, Ran, Kogorom Agasa and Conan's friends are drawn very well and they are very unique.

The music in the first few episodes are not that great. In the later episodes, however, the music gets really good. Some noticeable artists that perform the music later on include: Zard, Kuraki Mai, B'z, Rina Aiuchi, Yuuka Saegusa in db, Garnet Crow and many more. The music overall are all enjoyable and some are just really beautiful as well.

The quality of the animation is very good, but not excellent. The crime scenes are done very well showing distinctive colors and background.

The show is really enjoyable. It has aired 470 episodes so far and still going. I watched like more than half of it already and I am really amazed at the storyline especially because its just so thoughtfully written. Every show has its ups and downs, I suggest watch at least 20 episodes to understand this show a bit more and keep watching like I did. I highly recommend this series to everyone who likes suspense, problem solving and adventure. In fact, I really want to recommend it to everybody.

Like most animes over 100+ releases long, it began to get old after a while. Still a good watch though.

This is probally themost complete anime i have everseen, i have seenabout 400 of the 477 episodes that are currently out, what makes it so cool is that is isn't so far fetched, althought yea i don't think they could make and elixer to change somone into a kid, the gagets and things the main charector uses are all realistic, it also has an abundance of charectors, storylines, and secuences which are never the same twice, the only downside to this series is the filler, like any ofther anime there is a lot of filler, but to be honest some of the filler is just as good as the rest of the story, this show is excelent for anyone who like detective stories and a show they can watch for a long time that neve gets old, check it out youll love it, the first 2 or 3 seasons have been liscenesed in the us , but the rest of it is compleatly leagal to download
