ADDED: Good News! It seems the sudden registration is causing a lot of trouble for most of you. And some couldn't login w/ the default login i've provided below. So Baka-Updates enables all the bt back for now and we will decided whether to continue this in a week's time or not. We would like to hear from you and make a more favourable decision, please voice your opinion.
I see many visitors still can't get the sign up ready. So I've created a default login for the public who is desperately in need.
User: bakaupdates
Password: bu
Please do not alter any login information for this account so everyone can use it at the moment. This account will expire in 1 week's time, this will give you plenty of time to get the sign up done.

As of today, all BT's are disable for unregistered user, so please sign up. It's only a 3 minutes process. Here is an advice, if you don't receive a email from baka-updates:
1) you mispelled your email i.e. missing the .com or .net from the email address.
2) your email client treats the email as junk mail, it's probably on your junk mail folder.
If these still doesn't help, you can go to our forum and post your problem on the technical problem section or email one of the Baka-Updates staffs.
By any chance for those who couldn't reach the sign up page here is the link to it:
http://www.baka-updates.com/public_access.php?act=signup
Hope the sign up goes successfull for all of you.
Good news, I've altered the script, as of now anyone who signed up will receive the email hopefully. Since there are many unsuccessful attempts on the sign up procedure, I will clear up the queue so anyone who didn't received the confirmation mail can re-register with their previous sign up info.
Sorry for all the inconvenience. :)
Stay tune, for more updated information and guidelines to help you with registration.

B-U Forum posted by: Platinum|Star
As you guys may have noticed already, we have brought back the B-U Forum finally. We asked everyone that wish to use it to use it courterously, ie. don't spam or flame groups. You are entitle to your own opinions, but if we see any misuage, your message may be deleted or you may be ban without notice.
We forgot to mention earlier that we brought back the forum because you guys asked for it. According to the results of a poll that we ran last year, the forum was the most requested feature to add for the site. See...we do listen...hehe.
Please enjoy this release!

More Info. on Version 3 Updated posted by: y2klizard
Unfortunately, we are not providing wallpaper upload by users at the moment. However, it is one of the topics we are trying to decide, therefore if you want to submit a wallpaper please visit our channel through irc and send them to our ops. ie. Colje, Platinum|Star, or any member who is available.
For those who are new to it you can find us by doing the following:
1. connect to rizon by typing /server irc.rizon.net in your mIRC scripts
2. type /join #baka-updates
For some of you who have trouble reaching the validation page from the email after registration here is the link: http://www.baka-updates.com/public_access.php?act=confirm
Others who didn't recieve a email is either because you've entered a wrong email address or your email client classified the mail as junk mail. As of Jan 13,2005 if users don't validate their information within 1 week's time they will be removed from queue and will have to register again, this is one way solve the problem for those who've misspelled their email address.
FYI, we have added a section in Review where you can submit your own little review by going to a particular anime title and click on the link Write underneath the rating stars. We will have a full formal Review submission at a later time. BU Forum is another feature we've added in this version of BU, it is provided by phpBB. And we hope all of you will drop by our forum and make suggestions and start posting :). Since the forum is running at a different database from the main site, you'll have to make another sign up.
If you are still having problem using this new version of baka-updates, please email to one of the Baka-Update staffs or suggest it at our channel, and we will have it resolved asap. Since our message system hasn't been fully incorporated to the site, please email us instead of send message.
PS: Please don't feel intimidated about the sign up procedure Baka-Updates is doing, it's a way for us to reduce bandwidth usage from cache sites, search engines, etc. Your registration information will not be forwarded to or used by any third party.

Fansite submission posted by: Platinum|Star
The "http://" is coded in the system for the url field of fansite submission form so please leave that out or it will not work when somebody click on the link. Also, make sure you double check that your link works after submission. Remember, we are only listing anime or manga related sites at the moment.
Any technical support regarding the site should be directed to one of the ops in our IRC channel. We will be able to offer more effective help that way.
Note from y2klizard: "We have changed the color of the text which may seem more readable, please let us know if this change is effective."
Common problems experienced by users so far are those using firefox and mac can't display the text properly. To fix this, all you have to do is refresh the page. If that doesn't work, then make sure you clear your cache. This version of Baka-Updates is made to support all the major browsers so it should work for you if you try those two methods.
