Unfortunately, we are not providing wallpaper upload by users at the moment. However, it is one of the topics we are trying to decide, therefore if you want to submit a wallpaper please visit our channel through irc and send them to our ops. ie. Colje, Platinum|Star, or any member who is available.

For those who are new to it you can find us by doing the following:
1. connect to rizon by typing /server irc.rizon.net in your mIRC scripts
2. type /join #baka-updates

For some of you who have trouble reaching the validation page from the email after registration here is the link: http://www.baka-updates.com/public_access.php?act=confirm
Others who didn't recieve a email is either because you've entered a wrong email address or your email client classified the mail as junk mail. As of Jan 13,2005 if users don't validate their information within 1 week's time they will be removed from queue and will have to register again, this is one way solve the problem for those who've misspelled their email address.

FYI, we have added a section in Review where you can submit your own little review by going to a particular anime title and click on the link Write underneath the rating stars. We will have a full formal Review submission at a later time. BU Forum is another feature we've added in this version of BU, it is provided by phpBB. And we hope all of you will drop by our forum and make suggestions and start posting :). Since the forum is running at a different database from the main site, you'll have to make another sign up.

If you are still having problem using this new version of baka-updates, please email to one of the Baka-Update staffs or suggest it at our channel, and we will have it resolved asap. Since our message system hasn't been fully incorporated to the site, please email us instead of send message.

PS: Please don't feel intimidated about the sign up procedure Baka-Updates is doing, it's a way for us to reduce bandwidth usage from cache sites, search engines, etc. Your registration information will not be forwarded to or used by any third party.

The "http://" is coded in the system for the url field of fansite submission form so please leave that out or it will not work when somebody click on the link. Also, make sure you double check that your link works after submission. Remember, we are only listing anime or manga related sites at the moment.

Any technical support regarding the site should be directed to one of the ops in our IRC channel. We will be able to offer more effective help that way.

Common problems experienced by users so far are those using firefox and mac can't display the text properly. To fix this, all you have to do is refresh the page. If that doesn't work, then make sure you clear your cache. This version of Baka-Updates is made to support all the major browsers so it should work for you if you try those two methods.

Baka-Updaes V3 is finally here!!
In this version, we have added many new goodies. Have a look around to see for yourself.

Two notable changes from the previous versions are that we have added a optional sign up feature. As a registered user, you will be granted special previleges such as 'BT' listing, fansite submission, review submission, wallpaper submission, etc... The 'BT' listing will be left available to everyone for a week while everyone that wants to use it makes the transition to become register users.

Sign up is strictly optional, as you can still enjoy new releases viewing even if you don't, but be assured that the information you provide in the sign up form will not be misuse and will be kept confidential (most people probably fakes them any ways). In fact, we only need your email for confirmation purpose and you will not receive any email from us or anyone else thru this site from there on unless you opt for them. Think of it as a mean of filtering unwanted traffic more than anything else. Any way, as always, enjoy this new release brought to you by Baka-Updates and please drop by our IRC channel #baka-updates@rizon.net and give us some feedbacks.
