Aight, many questions have been asked way too often so as your benefical dictator I've taken it upon myself to answer all your querries! Remember, if you have a question, no matter how silly it might sound asking it here is 100% safe. Just dont clog up other sections with it...


Q: OMG! How do I make a torrent work! or OMG! this torrent doesnt work! BU isnt doing it's job!! or OMG my torrents are all stuck at 0.0% for 5 days now!
A: Obviously you havent realised that BU is a torrent HUB and not a server. BU only posts LINKS to anime eps that are hosted on other trakers. Complaning about a dead torrent to BU is like complaining about a dead site to google. Try going to the website of the Fansub group, or asking in their channel, there might not be any seeds, or the BT link may have been taken down. Also, the tracker may not be working for some reason, don't freak out, it's usually a temporary problem. Just wait a while and your download should continue like normal. Q: What’s a DVD label mean?
A:Many releases for older series are DVD rips. Most of these files are only available via IRC - check the Group info section on the site to find where the groups are located. Some of them actually do have BTs, but BU doesn't link to them... because they are DVD rips. Again, check to see if the group has a website and see if the BT links are there.

Q: Wheere can I get xxx series???
A: New series are pretty easy to find, just use the seach function. Older ones might be a tad harder so your first start should be BOXTORRENTS or IsoHunt if they don't have it then go toANIDB or try searching the main Baka-Updates site for information on which group subbed it and look them up on IRC.


Q: how big should my avatar/sig be?
A: Try not to go too far beyond 150pixel width, doing so messes up the margin. Height should be kept reasonable too. Sigs shouldn't be disturbingly huge either. Use common sense for crying out loud...
