Actually i would like to know of some series with good stories and no whimpering or hesitating characters, regardless of gender.

I'm also in the mood for fast paced fighting where no one stops in the middle to talk to the enemy, and the background doesn't get replaced with lines to illustrate movement because the creators are too lazy to animate the characters.

Thanks in advance.

claymore.
fight scenes are well animated, many strong female leads. and somehow in this show everyone has seemed to master the ability to fight and talk at the same time, its amazing.

OH YEAH, ZORRO CAN TALK WITH A SWORD IN HIS MOUTH!

The animation for Claymore is fairly average, but it's mostly shounen fair which I believe is something he's trying to avoid. The look and colors are more distinctive though.

FFVII: Advent Children has just the right mix of talking and fighting, which means little talking and much fighting.

If you're going to kill someone you don't care how they feel, what their plans for the future are, what they experienced as a child and you don't tell them anything about yourself either, 'cause they're gonna die.

The only ones who should talk while destroying their opponent are sadists who can make their opponents suffer a little extra by talking to them. No one else would have a real reason to talk in such a situation.

About Claymore: I'm gonna watch it once all episodes are subbed by a group i like.

Im looking for more action animes (pref non-mecha) anybody able to sugest some good ones?
Dunno what you've already watched.

I assume you've already watched all of Ghost in the shell, Full Metal Panic, Black Lagoon and all that stuff.

Pref means prefered, not required.
I'm guessing that the role, importance and on-screen-time of the mecha in Full Metal Panic is different from that of mecha shows like Gundam and Eureka 7. The reason for guessing is that FMP is the only show i've watched that has any real mecha. In any case, FMP is awesome and obligatory whether you like mecha or not.

I need some new anime to watch along the lines of music. I've seen Nana, BECK:MCS, Gravitation (the manga was better) and waiting for La Corda d'Oro to finish d/ling. As well something in any genre that doesn't revolve so much around school or mecha, I'm tryin' to take a break in that area. And yes, I am checking out the list and suggestions made in previous posts, I just wanna know what would be the first thing that'd come to mind. Thanks :D
If you'd like, I could post a list of everything I've seen if that'd help.

hmm o_o Nodame has a school of sorts.

there aren't many music animes really.
Well... if you search a site like anidb.net by genre, there are heaps of results. They all look pretty retarded though.

Full Moon wo Sagashite was great. Piano was tolerable, and has a school. Hameln was funny and retarded.

Zetsuai 1989 and Perfect Blue are imo Must Watch stuff for everyone anyway.

That's my two pence worth.

It's lolillicious. But it's great. See, the twist is the twelve year old main character can turn into a sixteen year old when she needs to. ;)

Seriously it's one of the best, if not the best, mahou shoujo shows ever. As much as I love CCS, it's CLAMP. And that's said too much already.

I'd say yes, it's great, I'm enjoying it and always waiting for the next ep.
However, you like Claymore and Kanon so I can't guarantee you'd like Seirei at all.

So what do you like, so i can call it shit and TRY to be cool?
Then fail trying.

Anyway, I like when anime does what it was intended to well:
Claymore's action and gore, Kanon's sad and well drawn out love stories, and "today in Class 5-2" AMAZING loli fanservice and funny situations.

I'll check out like 5 episodes and see if i like it. I need to make use of this new 500gig hard drive i bought. /no1 Thnx emetic.
