Heh. They fail at taking responsibility.

p.s. Jesus may have died a virgin, but it was just in anticipation of all the pussy he was gonna score upon ascending. In fact, the whole stint was probably a roundabout way of scoring with some woman he had his eyes on.

This thread is coo lindeed.

Um,
so yeah,

doesn't matter lol. It makes me wonder whether I'm wiser than half of you or less wise o_O but no one will ever know.. except Buddy Christ there. /no1 right back at ya, bro.

on a facetious side note, in the parents' position, I'd also sue Myspace. Possibility of large sums of money for free are good. It's like a lottery but with waaay better odds... I should think that if I had a son who killed himself I'd kinda be feeling a little .. um.. hollow.. there's no real way to take responsibility for that, so why not just biff the morals and go for money?

Cuz the notion is absurd. It didn't hold up in court at all.

I have no respect for parents who sue for vast amount of money upon a child of theirs dying. I don't mean to sound harsh to the parents I know they have suffered a huge loss and i hope to never understand what that feels like...

But step back at it and look at it. You are essentially saying, my kid is dead and you may be to blame...by taking alot of your money it will benefit us. There is no way to look at this in a good light.

If money eases the pain of your lost child then you are not good parents

Put in this position i would only ever demand that compensation was paid to cover say a funeral bill or medical costs...i would never attempt to gain personal benefit through something tradgic like that

It's not about the parents gaining money; if the parents truly believe a company is to blame for the death, it's the responsible thing to do to sue the company so they are forced to change what they're doing before anyone else's kid is destroyed by the large company's actions.
to not sue would be disrespecting every other family and teenager who could be affected.

Um, a larger monetary claim makes the offending company sorrier for its actions and gives them more incentive to be non-harmful, as well as bringing increased public awareness to the dangerousness of the offending company.

Yeah.

Sauce is yakitate japan manga.

And Emmy is once again right, it's not really about "the money" it's about hitting a company in the only place it hurts; the wallet. Had it been a single person it wouldnt have been a finacial attack but a more personnal one.

And yet you never hear about any of these people that win doing honorable things with the money. Donating to charity, perhaps?

Sure, if that was the case, but MySpace did absolutely nothign to warrant a lawsuit. One retarded member leaving a bulletin is hardly reason to blame MySpace for "dangerousness". In fact, I'd say that they had nothing at all to do with the suicide.

Nah, they can't do shit to you over the intrawebz. There was a forum that aided somebody in a homicide-turned-suicide and nothing happened to them.
