This weekend I watched Paranoia Agent (wow... the ending is SO bizarre), and Tide-Line Blue (slightly weak ending, but oh well, plus there is one more ep on DVD), and two City Hunter movies. SO yea, not a bad weekend.

Manly Equipment. DUH. How the heck do you put pastrami in a flame AND hold it at the same time? There's a difference between manliness and stupidity. And if Supreme takes a jab at this statement, I'm going to roast her tiny little feet.

I actually like my pastrami on toasted dark rye, but that's just me.

It's pretty weird that I'm starting to remember the lines in Mandarin.

I dont like Hero or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Those fake martial art movies annoy me.

I did see Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior, though. I bought it on DVD.

I don't really like Tiger&Dragon because of its accuracy. I like it because of Michelle Yeoh, because of the composition, the music. I like it because of its dreamlike atmosphere and its fantasizing. Like Hero, House of the flying daggers, etc... They're just tales. If you're looking for something else, you've just missed the main point of those films.

Ong Bak is a Bruce Lee movie 30 years too late. Awesome fights, no plot and an annoying childish humor. Right now, if I want to watch a nasty fight, I'd rather watch Old Boy for the 100th time or even Danny the Dog.

well, Hero is more of a political commentary than a tale.... but you'd have to be chinese to get it.

I don't think it's more of something. Tales always held a message behind the fantasy.

You'll also tell me i can't get what the Jiang Hu is since I'm not chinese ?

I'm miffed. Very, very. >_<

The only good part of those movies is the music. Other than that, it's just not my taste. I'm really not interested in it.
