not neccecarily, all the stuff in my long term memory will be remembered for a long time. Besides I was over exaggerating, my short term memory is not really bad. Koma's post was a repressed memory. :lol:

not true at all. Long term memory and short term memory don't involve the same brain process.

However, things have to remain in short term for an unknown amount of time before being moved into longterm memory.

Things stay in short term memory longer after repitiion, and help move it to longterm memory more swoftly

Short term memory is also why I cram right before the test instead of studying beforehand.
