which groups are subbing S7?
inuyasha4ever is taking forever...
im not complaining but on their forum they keep reminding people there are alternatives so hey should stop bugging them about it.
i know RevQuest is subbing it but someone said something about sub files added to raw episodes on the forum

LunarAnime, ANBUdom and Anime-Keep are subbing Samurai7. I don't know if they still continue to sub, I think InuYasha4Ever is currently the farthest in subbing the anime.

Also, Katana Fansubs are currently at episode 21. You could always check it out HERE.

(Can't help but advertise for a series I time)

Anime-Kraze is still subbing Samurai 7. We're just a little behind. :| But, if you noticed how we haven't really picked anything up this season, that's because we're going into "catch up mode." Long story short, you'll see more Samurai 7 soon, and fast. ;)

Actually, I forgot about Champloo S2 too. But eh, that's kind of like a "continuing" project.

Actually, ANBU and Anime-Keep have both dropped it because it got licensed somewhere near the 13th ep. Lunar also stopped as well for the same reason.

Since I'm still on the 13th ep (for quite a few months now)... I'm pretty sure I can wait for Anime-Kraze's releases.. coming soon, hopefully?

I recently saw Akira Kurosawa's classic 7 Samurai and am now interested in this series. Think I'll go with Kraze.

Wich means I need to make thoses A-Keep bots defect faster....

it's very vaguely based on kurosawas seven samurai.. yet certain personalities you will recognize in S7 that have been in the old movie.. it's a good show.. just hasn't very much in common or better said.. it's just different than from the movie you saw :)

Anything Kurosawa has done is excellent. Hidden Fortress, Yojimbo, Ran, Tsubaki Sanjuro, Throne of Blood just to name a few are worth a look, and a buy.

Kurosawa and Mifune are one of the best team ups in film history, like Lucas and Ford.

If you know the classic movie Seven Samurai well enough you can see quite a few subtle parallels in the anime.

agreed

but I'm sort of lukewarm about the anime. I watched the first half and enjoyed it enough, but I haven't felt motivated to continue watching it (other than the fact that I don't like leaving series half watched)

is there a general consensus that it is worth it or not? I don't really understand where they are taking the plot since it seems to just diverge more and more from that of the original film. I understand it's really only a loose association with the film, but I have this fear that they are extending the anime into the absurd. Someone please tell me I'm mistaken.
