I don't really have one overall favorite, since there are many good ones. Some of the best though are DBZ, Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny. I love the whole mobil suit idea. Ruruoni Kenshin, 'cause of the amaizing fighting scenes, Inuyasha, and last but not least, Full-Metal Alchemist.

nobody else has quite the same favorite as me. in fact, no one has even said they like it!

My #1 Favorite is....KALEIDOSTAR. I know, its not meant for adults and theres no blood and gore but i like the show, its inspirational, helps me get to school everyday and to yoga on tuesday nights because if Sora can do it, I can too.

I also love Noir, Chobits, Trigun, Read or Die OVA and TV, and AMG (all versions)

Actually thoses aren't the requirements for adult anime. And that's a fine reason to enjoy an anime. I totally loved Fruits Basket because it always left me with a huge smile on my face, and if an anime can do that, it's a great reason love it.

AH! my Goddess still one of my favorites, I like the graphics and music, but most of all it is because of Belldandy's innocent and her interaction with K1. Of course all that power she has, especially when she is jealous is nice as well.

Gundam for all the human struggle, and Full Metal Panic for Sasuke's seriousness in everyday life.

New Favorite after so many favorites has to be Gankutsuou with out any question. All time favorite is all and every bit of every Saiyuki series. But Mirage of Blaze is by far the best.

We are apparently kindred spirits. I was just musing over the fact that Gankustuou is the most enjoyable series currently out (although I didn't particularly enjoy their interpretation of the encounter between the Count and Albert, but I'm gonna let it slide)

And the Saiyuki series is definitely one of my all time favorites
