Vampire game- any good?

Postby hsuehlui » Thu Aug 04, 2005 9:28 am

I was randomly looking at one of the few manga selections available in the UK when I saw one called Vampire game (being the only one there I have not heard of). From the story point of view it sounds quite interesting (by Judal) but before I do go and shell out a tremendous amount of money for the set (and live on bread for a while) I was wondering if anyone has actually read it and if its any good. Don't want to go and shell out a load of money if it turns out to be rubbish... :D

Thanks, but I already checked the link and animenfo's reviews... still dithering over it ... oh well I'll think I'll get the first volume and give it a shot.. if I like it will get the rest..... if not I won't have wasted a fortune..... pity I can't rent it.. hmmmm maybe I should open up a manga library and open up a new market in the UK....

YES!! That would be a good idea for investing on something that doesn't exist in your country. You can earn profit by charging 10% off from the actual price....i think...or maybe cheaper.

I believe I may have been using the Japanese term, but anyways...
Essentially what the girls were talking about, an open library of manga where you can pay to read as much as you like.

I've seen some places in the states like that, but mostly cater to Chinese or Koreans, but instead you can get bubble tea or some other foreign junk food.

Have heard of em but they don't exist in the UK... The UK has only recently opened its eyes up to Manga...Last year if you tried to look for manga in shops you would only find them in either Borders (in a very small corner hidden away right at the back with only 2 shelves - plus there's only like 5 Borders stores in the whole country - very small no. anyway) or you had to go to shops which specialised in American comics.. as they usually had a few hidden away somewhere... As for the start of this year suddenly they now have a section dedicated to manga (although it is still small) and other bookshops have also started dedicating small shelf space to them.. but its a start...what I am hoping is that the local libraries will pick the new trend up and start having them in the library.. then I'll get rent free manga /no1

Although it may take them a while....

i actually have a lifetime membership, for this rental shop....but they never do anything special except that for every 10 manga you've rented or read at the shop, you'll get 1 free of charge..... :swt:
