My mum likes to play dumb but actually, she has internet ever since 14k's modems.

And she bought me my first comp when I was 8... An Amstrad CPC6128. She even paid a tutor to teach me BASIC and such.

It was such a waste... I still suck so much when it comes to technical details. =^^=

My mum teaches me how to use Microsoft Words and how to On the computer.
The others I learned myself since I like to simply click on anything I saw. :lol:

She's unbeatable when it comes to all the Microsoft Office stuff and such but for the rest she just comes crying to me.

I guess she wanted to form me to be her technical support... Such a waste... XD

Yeah one of my cousins did that the other day while I was 'watching' them. They come and tell me how they clicked on this flashing 'you're a winner' ad.

I totally had to stop what I was doing (I felt really about about that ^_^) and clean up the mess on my parents computer.

I learn how to use computer stuff by myself too, just ask ppl if i wonder..........and yay my e-mail always looks blank, no spams and junk mail /gg

... i'm a younger sister but i never got tricked by any of those ads...i mean...i have some sense of reality huhuhuhuhu

Nono. I'm like that too.

I always do my very best alone and if it's not enough, I invite one of my friend over and subtly push him to check my comp. I'd rather die than ask directly.

It would be like saying :

I'm a woman so I'm a tech idiot, help me.

Even if it's true, no need to confirm it. >_<

Asking directly is much quicker though. I guess the difference is when I'm direct people interept it like this:

I'm Ash so I'm a tech idiot, help me.

I think it has more to do with my personality than my gender.

Although even I try my best to fix things myself first. Recently my friends have started calling my bs of just wanting someone else to do it for me; so unless I try first they won't help.

I try and try and try until someone either insists on helping me or offers to help me.

Now that I think of it, it must've been the adults around me at the time. I was a very curious child, and I asked a lot of questions... They got annoyed and told me to only ask if I really needed to know. Then it got to the point I wouldn't ask at all...
