Hey, I'm kinda new here and have found that computers have quite a distaste for me :p . Could someone please tell me how to torrent things here (keep in mind I'm stupid, so the simpler the better :swt: ). Thanks a lot!

(Admin's, maybe sticky and rename this thread for future users?)

I take it you are asking how to download a anime via Bittorrent.

1) Go google & download Bittornado. It's a simple BT client and easy to use. The normal BT client doesn't work just to let you know. There are many BT clients, but since you are not computer-savvy, Bittornado is perfect.

2) Install Bittornado. Should be a simple executable file.

3) Once you have installed BT, you can start downloading anime.

4) Go to "releases" on the Baka-Updates homepage, or wherever you like to look for anime

5) Click the torrent link.

6) There are 2 kinds of torrent links. One type will automatically start up your BT client. The other type will instead give you a .torrent file to save to your computer (or you can choose to open it instead). If you chose to save the .torrent file to your computer, browse your hardrive, find the .torrent file, and double click it to start up the download.

6) If after clicking the link or .torrent file it asks you what program you want to use, browse and select your newly-installed BT client (bittornado if you chose that). Otherwise skip to step 7.

7) The BT client should start up now. It will automatically attempt to connect to other users, you don't have to do anything.

At this point, assuming no technical problems, you should be well on your way to downloading your first anime episode using BT. Make sure your firewall is not blocking your connection. If you have more problems, go post it in the technical support section of the forum. Hope this helps.

o_o that's your windows' file associations... there won't be two different things happening for most people.
edit: Well, i just found out that I wasn't quite right ^^ it's the browser's handling of the file >_> but same thing really.

Oh yeah, Onizuka, why do you have the numbers after your name? ~_~

Besies being stupid, I also have a horrible memory. That name was the one sujested by yahoo, so I've used it for everything.

Also, sorry if this is the wrong forum  .

*sigh* I KNOW THAT EMETIC, but onizuka basically said he/she doesn't really know how to use a computer that well, so I'm being simple about it.
