My understanding is that the Japanese government can be very protective of its depiction of their actions during the war in their textbooks. So it would make sense to me to use a publicity stunt to bring light to such an issue. Also that a porn star knows that sex sells. I'd be suspicious if she was selling a book, but nope.

It's possible to complete bachelor in 3 and 1/2 years. There are Masters+PhD programs out there where you can get complete masters and PhD at a shorter period of time so it's possible to complete it in 3 years too, the thesis just have to be awesome enough tho....but history is easy and useless so it doesn't really need as much research as other fields :3
