Bleach: goodbye DB :'(

Postby ceaser » Wed Jun 09, 2010 5:00 am

Well, next week I'll be YouTubbing around for a whack Bleach 275 that I probably won't find.DB's Naruto Shippuuden was better subbed than the current ones (taka are the best ones now, though darksoul is ok too). DB's episodes of Shippuuden had much less trouble playing though my old computer in proper format though. I have to watch the taka ones through the Xbox 360 otherwise for some reason they skip really bad. So, Bleach 274 is the last episode of that show they're doing according to their press release. I think maybe 100 was the last Naruto Shippuuden they did.

The show is really really good again right now. It's no surprise DB got notice from TV Tokyo to cut the show at this point. All the big fights are well in progress and anyone and everyone from the USA and every other country is going to go through hell if they watch Bleach now. Maybe someone good will pick it up. I hope so. I'm really bummed out about this one...

Goodbye Dattebayo! Thanks for the memories.

I dunno, imo bleach has been especially bad lately (not filler bad, but bad all the same), even for a show of its type. Shame to see DB go though, one of the better sub-groups for the last few years.

lol...Bleach >_>
is this serious or are they just trolling?
but hey who gives a shit really, there's lots of crunchyroll rips anyway and it's not like their subbers weren't fansubbers before
i'm guessing most are just put off by crunchyroll cuz they're legal and shit, i've compared their translation with the fansubbers and there's seriously no contextual difference

It seems a simulcast deal was recent and DB just wanted to support legal alternatives. I'm not sure of what rights Crunchyroll has outside of streaming or if it's in their nature to give out C&Ds in the first place.

DB isn't dead, they're just not doing Bleach and there will be some rip sub group anyways.

DB want to support legal alternatives. But they'll keep illegally fansubbing other shows. Whut.

"We are dropping Bleach because we support legal alternatives to fansubs and we hope you will too."

I didn't include the word "fansubs", so I hope that makes things clearer.

Just means people that download bleach from here will just have to expect to ignore the C&D notices from Viz to their ISP,

Because lets face it, most every torrent here on Baka-Updates is monitored and will result in it unless you're running Tor or the like. Really went to hell with that aspect..

I watch all of the cookie cutter shounen junk, its good for when you don't want to think, just have mindless entertainment. Which is what I prefer after a long day of work.

No I have not watched Giant Killing though.

Fair enough sentiment, but watchign Naruto and Bleach is still going too far ;) I tend to play games after work more than watch animes.
Wow, so you work now o_o

Yeah, intern at an engineering company called xilinx.

I actually feel Naruto has some saving grace. It has a unique creativity to it. If it didn't have to be catered for the younger crowd it could have been something quite good. Someone get Peter Jackson on the line for a remake!
