Konnichiwa! Watashi wa Kogami desu. This is my first post on this site, and will not be my last. I have been looking for an anime forum/fansub site for a while. Well one that looked like it has been around for a while and is still going strong. I am pleased to be a new member here. So far this place looks great.

A little about myself. I am 24 yrs old. I am an IT technician (I am certified to work on computers). I am an advid gamer, and otaku. My favorite series has to be ......meh... I cant think of my one favorite so i will name a few. Lucky Star, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Black Lagoon, Gurren Lagann, Ouran High School Host Club, GTO, and Bleach.

TY. With 14,263 members you would think the site would be going strong. Unless most are not active at all. Which seems to be what is going on with alot of forum sites lately. (not going to name any names here*cough*a4e*cough) BTW... How come so many nonactive members?

I'd say life interrupted some of us. I ran off due to no reliable internet, guy issues, and work for a while. Other people just post that one question or comment, and never post again....

Yeah, there was nothing much happening in the anime scene at some point, plus most of the regulars here were elitist cool people who had a particular disdain for the ever-increasing horde of naruto/FMA/Bleach/Geass/shit little internet bitches who'd pop up and wail about how much they loved sasukexnarutoxfurry so this place was really just a hangout for the twenty or so respectable, tasteful and jaded anime fans who stuck around and shot the shit whilst telling nubs to gtfo. Then the site got hacked and was down for a few months and the regulars straggled off. Now it's just a handful of oldfags who just complain about how there's not been anything really great since 1996, really.

Kogami, stick around. No help is necessary; this forum gets by just fine with one mod and no admin support. If you want to do something to help out, talk about some interesting animes or something.
Well, there is some admin support, sorry. I think lambchopsil is still actively managing the manga section. Not sure where Solidus is... maybe he forgot to feed his cats so they chewed his hands off.

but normal Japanese conversation doesn't usually need to use "I" anyway, it's usually optional so maybe that's why we don't often find ppl who starts conversation with "watashi" and stuff...dunno that's what my Japanese teacher say..
