OK, this thread has jumped the tracks so far it's flipped around and gone the other way, but I'll be serious.

Saiyuki is an excellent dub, has been called as good as if not better than the original. Just the first series, though, and the movie Saiyuki Requiem.

I've also enjoyed the dubs of:
Fruits Basket
Fullmetal Alchemist
Gravitation
Ouran High School Host Club

While there are some series that I will only watch in the subbed version (Yami no Matsuei), and some only available subbed (Loveless), I think you can miss a lot of good characterizations if you have the idea that "all dubs suck." Dubs are often less literal and in better English than the subs. Plus, with dubs you put all your concentration on the show instead of reading.

I dont buy your last arguement, reading subs is a split second thing for me now and i do it without even realising it

in general i will purposely avoid dubs if for no other reason than to watch the show as close to its original version as possible
I do remember FLCL and i think (been a long time) gundam wing having acceptable dubs

Don't like any dub but if I gotta say one its going to be Ranma 1/2 since I grew up with it and saw it dub first.

I ran into him on irc while downloading some series I can't even remember from the subber's channel.

He was having a chat about some shit or another with the people there, I very much enjoyed posted all the sick shit he's into to them.

We had a good laugh.

Wish I still kept logs
