I loved your guys booth. sorrie I just joined the forums so i couldn't really post earlier. The guy who was handing out the sticker or tattoo things was very hilarious. I thought you guys did a great job at promoting the game. Can't wait till the game comes out.
My thoughts on AX (note that i've been going for about 11 years): This is unfortunatley my last year going to AX, they have just been doing too many things to annoy and anger me over the years. Last year was bad, but this year they pushed it too far. They are implementing new rules all the time, and they are never ever going to get their acts straight. Their orginazational skills are terrible, so many video rooms didn't show what was on the schedule, and why? No idea, the guys outside the room had no clue and didn't look like they cared too much. They cancelled a few panels which was annoying, and the masquerade was a freakin nightmare. They said the camera man and the one running the sound boards was new. But don't put that stuff on him AX, they could have trained him better, they could have done a lot of things, but they messed up and are playing the stupid kid blame game. Next so many delays going on left and right, and I didn't know this but they are enforcing a strict no proxy selling rule. Which from what i can remember never really mattered till they moved it to LA. Basically it seems like they are becoming too big for themselves. They made a big deal about an artist that I thought of as artist of the year. She wasn't able to make it due to the fact that she was lives in Canada and she was still in medical school. Her artwork was very unique and i asked why she wasn't allowed to do so. Their answer was basically them saying, that they want the artist to show up themselves so they can explain their art, and if they aren't there physically it shows that they are doing it just for the money. Which was completely not true, all of her artwork was unique, it wasn't of any animes. It was just her own unique characters and her artwork was so great when I heard the stories behind them. A lot of artists in the artist alley don't care all that much about why they drew it. And I personally know a lot of the artists there, and they have much better stuff that they dont end up bringing. Why? Because they know it wont sell, everyone there is to spread their artwork as well as make money. So AX when you stop banning fun, i'll come back.
