well if you read the latest one, he didn't die from that nail. Chouji's dad is aparently dead and now kakashi looks like hes dieing or dead from using his eye technique with barley and chakra. so :-s

Well it appearantly looks like he is dead confirmed by Sage Naruto when he came back and could not feel him there.. Though it might be due to him out of Chakra but Tsunade avoided him as a subject too on being alive.

lesson to be learnt:

mangas like naruto...bleach...hell pretty much any shounen mangas will never kill off their top characters. They will act like they are going to...because its some lameass cheap mechanic that keeps people reading whilst all the while knowing no one is actually going to die

look for other reasons why the authors have run out of ideas and are just cashing in. entire village killed? not anymore. Village leveled? not while theres superpowered ninjas to rebuild it.
