whats the most recent anime you've seen?

When threads get too long, they will get locked and dumped in here for reference.

Shura no Toki, it grew on me. Fighting scenes aren't bad either, thats probably what caught me was the fight scenes.

Red Garden: Dead Girls

Not really sure what to think of it, it was nice seeing the characters again, but they lost some of their polish in the new super heroes futuristic setting.

Maybe I was expecting like hellsing ultimate after waiting for it for two years.

tales of abyss 1-3

for a game-anime its quite decent, it follows the game in a good pace and not cutting anything (only added a scene or two).

Nodame Cantabile Pari-hen ep2

I hate, hate, HATE the new director who took over this season....he took out quite a lot of tension in the conductor contest and most of the funny comments....It all seemed rushed.....bleh and GEH

EDIT: Hmm apparently the director also directed higurashi....no wonder.... <_<

It won't really matter if you haven't read the manga...
I just couldn't help but to compare the experiences between reading the manga, watching the live-action, and the anime

it's just my opinion that so far it's manga > live-action special > anime (season 2 only)

on the other note Michiko to Hatchin is good too for those who liked samurai champloo style

Nodame is fine. Although there is a noticeable change of the styling, the show at it's core is still the same.

Shikabane Hime: AKA isn't too bad... not too great either. Found it to be a nice way to simply pass some time.
Wasn't aware it was Gainax when I picked it up, but the animation style was way too familiar to miss it. (Bein' from Gainax doesn't automatically make it awesome tho )

Ga-Rei was really dumb up until the end, then it was really trippy and exciting.

Yup and it's not like there's a need to catch up with the manga or anything really, cuz the mangaka is on maternity leave it'll be quite awhile til the manga actually ends

Well that was one thing. They rushed the entire competition in a half episode and tried to put in the OMG bliss effects.
