need to find more comedy anime

so anyone have suggestions for comedy anime? i'll list the ones i'm currently watching and if you mention one i've seen, i'll add it to my list so it doesn't get mentioned twice. i can't remember most of the titles for the ones i've seen already. thanks.

That's true... and half of the purely comedic animes aren't even funny.
Anidb is a pretty good place to start though o-o It's more useful than random recommendations, I think.

the only thing that's funny about the op's listed animes is that they consider themselves to be funny.

detroit metal city and ebichu are the only real funny shows out there.

unless you think squeaky lolies freaking out is somehow funny.

hare + guu is pretty funny for awhile, but the humor wears out near the end
desert punk is pretty good for humor
one piece is long, but delivers a steady stream
great teacher onizuka is another great one

there are also ones like pani poni dash and cromartie high


The list of shows that are truly funny is quite short imo. Most of them recycle the same old jokes in a generic way that usually weren't funny the first time much less the hundreth. The best ones tend to be the ones that throw in something entirely random at a specific time.

Nodame Cantabile (not purely comedy, but amusing)

Old classics:
Lupin the 3rd - Castle of Cagliostro (lupin is generally fun!)
Future Boy Conan (a very old adventure anime, but it's fun)
