consoles are generally a wasted investment anyways, be it PS3 or otherwise.

You pay hundreds of dollars just for the box, not counting the games you have to pay for. And you won't be using the console for anything other than gaming so it hardly feels worth it. I would only bother with buying a console for the purpose of entertaining guests.

It could be just me but I find all the games I want to play outside of FF i can find on PC. And I'm big on RTS and shooters so that probably has something to do with it.

its just that on another site, whenever i'd mention that i owned a "PS TRIPLE" then i'd get called a moron and other such names. Basically it was just me getting into defense mode.

It's a 14" laptop, 4lbs, 1.6ghz Sempron, 2GB ram, radeon xpress1100

not a crysis killer, but it plays most everything that I want to play (which lately is dawn of war). And it runs heavy engineering applications surprisingly well. And it can be used on the go.

my point is this: PS3 is powerful, but you only ever really use it for one thing which makes it, like most consoles, very money-inefficient. Arguments like Blueray and OS support are bollocks because in reality hardly anyone will make extensive use of either. And in five years when PS10000 comes out, your pretty box becomes a paperweight that nobody wants to touch while I can pass my laptop onto my kid cousins for their use.

Don't worry I'm not bashing you for PS3, I'm bashing consoles in general lol. Although Wii isn't so bad considering the cheapness. Too bad there aren't any games on that system that I want to play.

well, for those who havent kept up with it, it comes out next year in April it looks like. I think it was because of Dragon Quest getting delayed due to bugs n shit. THUS, FF13 gets pushed back. Anywho, FF13 should be pretty chill, lookin forward to it.

just watched the demo video on youtube and it looks pretty cool. kinda looks like the old-school turn based battle system with an upgrade
