whats the most recent anime you've seen?

When threads get too long, they will get locked and dumped in here for reference.

Finished it recently myself, silv.

Gotta agree about Lelouch. His reaction during/following the massacre ep was pretty lame. You'd think he'd be pretty wrecked after what he did, but he just acts as if it's any ordinary day, you know? And there are more examples of that less than realistic behaviour throughout the entire series (even in season two).

I don't think it's unrealistic to take view the carnage from a detached perspective, but the problem is Lelouch is so inconsistent. Sometimes blood spatters all over the place and he doesn't bat an eye; other times he gets so tramautized that he just sits in his cockpit bug-eyed and unable to speak. It makes no sense at all.

the show overall is pretty good. I could do with less stereotypical "high school students involved in totally ridiculous things" backgrounds, and Lelouch is bad character in that the writers can't seem to decide on what kind of person he is, but the pros outweigh the cons imo.

Well, yeah, that's exactly it. Like, he cares about Euphie one second and then doesn't give two shits the next... pretty odd.

It's because of his conflicting personas. As Lelouch, he really cares about Euphie, but as Zero he has to face that what's done is done and the responsibility that Zero carries. That seems to be mostly the basis of this season I think and what will prolly end up as the ending is him making a choice.

It's not so much his conflicting personas that bugs me....anybody can have conflicting personas. But in Lelouch's case his mood swings are so wild that it's more like he has multiple personality disorder....and since he's probably not supposed to have that, I can only deduce that the writing staff messed up.

Well, right, but he's like agonizing over it for all of 5 minutes before he goes back to normal as if nothing happened. You'd think given the history and relationship and all the rest that he'd actually be pretty gutted... especially since it was his fault.

spoiler wrote:And, I mean, that confrontation with Suzaku at the end of s1? You'd think he'd be in tears trying to explain how it was an accident. Instead he's standing there acting like a smug prick, and then he wonders why his friend sold him out to his enemy.

All that aside, though... the show was/is vastly superior to G00, which aired around the same time.

Heh. You know why I never started watching CG when it was airing? Cuz of all those jabs about the Pizza Hut ads. :swt:

that's another thing, the mecha fighting is well choreographed compared to the recent gundam series.

Xam'd ep.2

Animation quality dropped a little bit, but the show is still looking pretty damn solid.

kinda agree, but i think it would look better if it's in HD :o
Also find the pacing a bit too quick and confusing, I hope they give better explanations soon.

Daughter of Twenty Faces 12 - it's getting so interesting yet LE is so slow geh!
Toshokan Sensou 9
Real Drive 12
Slayers Revolution 4 - guilty pleasure...really....*sigh*

I'm rewatching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I loved this anime. Epic tale of where an unwavering positive outlook can take you. The animation is solid, its humorous and chalk full of homages and parodies.

I watched the new Macross Frontier. I wish this series and my obligation to finish it would end already. ;___;

That comic strip wasn't funny and didn't make sense buts its ok cuz that's a pretty accurate representation of the actual series. A big painful assfull of fist. /pif

Not much dif from Eureka when ya think about it... things start out pretty obscure and then they begin to make sense later... well... I'm guessing that's how it's gonna be anyways.

Saw Gurren Lagann on Sci-fi, I went to torrent the episodes cause I can't stand dub, and I'm pleasantly suprised thus far.

Was pretty much the point, reflecting the series. It offers an incredibly retarded love story, more repeated action scenes then a gundam, and a girl in cutesy outfits in between the songs.

just finished watching the the two seasons of black lagoon. this show was going really well. the excellent direction/ production gave the show a good atmosphere and the action was solid. too bad the show went downhill when rock turned into a sniveling sack of horseshit in love and the show went down the drain.

:spoilerish:

revy versus the swordman was lame. swords are awesome and shit but a pair of .45's welded by a supposedly great marksmen would've torn the motherfucker up before he even got near her. the fight was zzzzz.

bad question

if you didn't like soul eater in the first place, you won't like it now.

Personally I find the art interesting and the humor amuses me. That hasn't changed.
