Yeah, and it bugged out when I used /claim in-game.

What happened was I entered the code, loaded up my game, logged onto my Guardian, and then typed in the /claim command. Then I checked my bags out. I now have a Rhino mount, some epic/purple bow, fireworks, an 8 slot bag, and the drinking cape.

I tried to hop on my other characters and get the same dealio, but unfortunately it only gave me the cape. :\

Not really sure how it happened, but apparently a few other people got the same thing. So here's hoping they don't remove it all. :p

Do you want my claim code too then?

I think your card actually can run the game... but on the lowest settings it'll be choppy as all hell.

8800 GTX are pretty good value for money right now. You could prob pick one up for about 200-300 bux (depending on where you buy it from). And it'll run the game at max graphics quite comfortably.

You should try posting your comp specs on the AoC forums and ask someone to recommend a solution... there are a bunch of people there that can give ya a pretty specific idea of what to upgrade, buy, etc.

I just need a new graphics card really. Im running a penium D 2.8 with 2 gigs of ram. My graphics card is a Radeon X600 from 2005. I can play Most FPS and MMOs no problem on medium settings. Its the anti aliasing that kills me.

CHop a hole in the side of your case so the card fits.

thats not a bad Idea. but it would look horrible. I know theres a better card with the same form factor out there.

Personally, I think hand-modded computers (not purchased pre-modded ones) look a lot cooler than plain ones.
The airflow in a case with a hole in the side might not be great, but meh.

My last computer had some retarded heat issues 'cuz of a pathetic mobo, so I took the side off and pointed a huge fan on it at all times.

Basically sounded like I was taking off in a helicopter every time I wanted to play a game.

@Cat
I'm thinking of grabbing an 8800 GTX myself. I'm running AoC with a 7800. Runs alright, but can still be choppy at times, which ain't really ideal when there's some idiot whackin' ya in PVP.

I just fully redid mine not long ago for under $1000

2.67 ghz quad core
6gigs of ram
8800gt
vista home premium

Mind you, I built the whole thing from scratch, every single piece for under 1k and it tackles crysis on high settings well.

You could get a 512 vid card for a real decent price. I really wouldn't recommend getting a 256 card if you're upgrading to play AoC. Seems wasteful.

Pulled this from a thread on the AoC forums:

GAME WILL NOT RUN:
These video cards will not play the game at all.

nVidia
Geforce 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5000 series
The Geforce 5500 series and up to 5900 *may* play this game, but their DX9 support is extremely crippled and graphical errors/crashes should be expected.

ATI
Rage series
Radeon 7000, 8000 series
Radeon 9000 through 9200 series (do not support DX9)

BARE MINIMUM:
These cards work, but will run incredibly slow at lowest resolution/settings

nVidia
Geforce 6000 through 6800 series (ex: Geforce 6200)
Geforce 7000 through 7400 series (basically slight upgrades to the 6 series)
Geforce 8000 through 8400 series (slight upgrades to 7 series)

ATI
All Radeon IGP series (integrated graphics)
Radeon 9500 through 9800 series
Radeon x300 through x700 series
Radeon x1000 through x1650XT series
Radeon 2400 through 2600 series
Radeon HD3100 through HD3650 series

MID-RANGE:
These cards may be able to play the game at medium settings with shadows off, and reasonable resolution (around 1280x1024)

nVidia
Geforce 7600 through 7950 series
Geforce 8500 through 8600 series
Geforce 9500 series

ATI
Radeon x800 through x850 series
Radeon x1800 through x1950 series
Radeon 2900 series
Radeon HD3690 series

HIGH-END:
These cards should be able to play Conan with most settings on High, and at fairly high resolution (around 1600x1200). Often, these video cards require QUALITY 550 Watt and up Power Supplies.

nVidia
Geforce 8800GS, GTS 320, GTS 640, GT, GTS 512 (G92), GTX, Ultra
Geforce 9600GT through 9800 GT, GTS, GTX
Geforce 9800GX2 (highest performance for nVidia)

ATI
Radeon HD3850, HD3870
Radeon HD3870 dual Crossfire
Radeon HD3870X2 (highest performance for ATI)
