MX1000 problems

My mouse is acting weird....... for the past 2 days it wouldnt track any of my movements so I had to switch to a shitier wireless mouse. but today its working like a charm. Ive had this mouse for about 2 years now. Could it be the laser dying? anyone had problems like this before?

nah I keep it pretty clean and I cant even see the light from the eye anymore. I think shes passing on. :(
