Hokay so if I am reading this correctly you should like ergo Proxy and Ultima 2 Quest of the Avatar on the NES? If so you instantly win with me

No no, not the NES ultimas, the real ones!! I grew up playing Ultima on the Atari 1040st, from 2 on... Quest of the Avatar was U4 on the Atari I believe -- I didn't get into that one too much. My favorite games ever by far are Ultima 7 and 7.5, which were on the 486, and are oft considered by Ultima fans to be the best ever :D (before Richard Garriott went downhill and made 8, Ultima Online [which is a clone of 8] and 9). Then 5 with the shadowlords, which was Atari/Commodore/Amiga days. You should really try to find a ROM of the old PC versions, as they are NOTHING like the NES versions, are 100% non linear and awesome, etc.

oh god, I'm a nerd. :(

And Ergo Proxy, baaaaah. I really, really, really wanted to like it. :( The first episode was insanely awesome, and I do still listen to the OST on a regular basis. But the series ended up being so incredibly pseudo intellectual and boring that it was probably the most disappointing thing I've seen. ;_; Here's my review in case you are interested. I do like other cyberpunk stuff though, such as Armitage III, etc.

And Ris: haha, this is actually the first time I've gone i nto the forum. ^_^ But have been using the actual site since its birth.

Nice! :D My sig is a template version from A-P (I run it, woo!) but you have the option of putting your own BG in and changing the colors. My BG changes probably weekly, though I think I'm gonna leave Shadow Hearts in for awhile :p

You'd be surprised for the months/years though -- I think the highest I've seen is 8 months, and that guy had seen damn near everything o_o

Yeah you can, though the white box, life on anime bar, and top bar are not changeable. You can UL a background though and choose the colors (and choose what goes in the white box, there are 3 options). Once you are signed up there's a "my signature" link on the left which lets you build it. ^_^

Web design ftw! Do you have a site I can look at? ^_^

That's excellent. My favourite was U6, though U4 certainly has a particular kind of appeal as it was the first one to feature real choice.

Have you tried U5: Lazarus? It's a very worthy conversion of the original, and I would even go so far to say that it improves on it in many aspects.

whoa!! I had no idea this existed! The only "newer" Ultima technology I've used is the exult engine so I can play 7/7.5, but had no idea there was a remake of sorts. It doesn't look like the graphics are something I'd be into, but I will definitely check it out anyways!!! I love it when people redo older games, like KQ 1/2/3 ^_^

You hopefully get past the 3D. There's more NPCs, and more importantly a great wealth of very well written out dialogue, than in the original. Plus the art and music really nail down the classic Ultima feel. It's been made by fans for fans without practically any money involved, but it was easily my top 1 game from last year.

I'm synarkhe, love nonsense humour and go game. And of course japanese animes.

By the way I'm french (don't hit me, it's my mother's deed, not mine) so I apologize in advance for any error I could make in my sentances...

bonjour Kasuga san

Consonant are the same as english. Only vowels are different so i've written them in the simplified international phonetic language:
s[i]n[a]rkh[e]

[i] like in: th[i]s
[a] like in : f[a]ther
[e] is very hard I think...mostly like in: l[e]tter
