Ichise in Texhnolyze. Ok, we didn't technically see him die, but it's somewhat inevitable given the circumstances.

Harry and Brandon in GunGrave. There's plenty of EMO drama until the climax, but the scene is a solid manly moment.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I don't know such good manly deaths...

But Light Yagami at the End of Death Note died as a human in front of everybody's eyes.Maybe he killed lots of criminals for justice...but he died in the end for the humanity.

Oh here's a manly death. I almost cried when I watched it too. The priest guy in Trigun. Wolfgang, if I remember correctly. He finally have mercy on his enemy and then he got killed! How messed up is that?!

it's not messed up, it's common sense that gunmenn who spend more time talking to their enemy than shooting them should be shot.

I think his name is Wolfwood. Trigun is the worst show i ever watched all episodes of.

He died because he was shot, and he never believed there would be much chance of him dying there, so you can't say "he died for [insert word]". He tried to realise his own ideals and died in the process, which is way better than "dying for someone else" or "dying for ones own pride" and all that crap.

You're very opinionated, my dear. Wolfgang/Wolfwood, whatever his name maybe, didn't stand around and chit chat. He beated that one guy and then he walked away because he wanted "mercy" on him. Then he got shot in the back. Trigun has it's bad parts, but so does every other anime out there...I like Trigun regardless 8-|

He talked to him before beating him. Turning his back towards a still conscious enemy who has a loaded projectile weapon was an act of immense retardation.

Then he got shot in the back.
