Meh, Starcraft is nowhere as near as good as Age of Empires.

Blizzard wants to scam all the koreans money. EA tried with C&C3 making it like starcraft but failed.
now my father is going to turn into a starcraft otaku again.

well thats what it seems like these days. There's a shit ton of blizzard fan boys/ girls that will buy a game made by them wheather its good or not. same with the "SQUENIX" fans.
ANd i'm sure Starcraft 2 will sell a ton of copies even if the game sucks donkey balls.

Enix and Square have a long list of accomplished games, though. Blizzard has...WOW and Diablo II and Starcraft. =\
These games aren't as good as people make 'em out to be. I played starcraft religiously until I played Age of Empires and saw how much more dynamic it was as a RTS. Starcraft is like a RTS for uncoordinated, dyslexic people.
WOW is a waste of time and money. End. Period.
Diablo II was good six years ago. It's dated. Extremely. But still there are millions of people on the four realms.

I had my account for seven years before I finally said "fuck this shit" and dropped it. You never get anywhere in those games. Ever.

If Starcraft 2 ends up being another rushfest like the original, I'm not gonna touch it.

watched the gameplay demo.
I have to say I'm impressed. It DOES appear that they are making a conscious effort to put some actual strategy into the game, although it's a very simplistic rock-paper-scissors model.
And the Zergling swarm is impressive. When they surround the enemy it looks like a single writhing organism straight out of the matrix

My friends and I were avid Starcraft players back in 98-99. It should be fun to see how they've updated the franchise.
I've never bothered much with Blizzards other games such as the Diablos and even less so the Warcraft series, because they weren't my style.
