Going to an anime convention this weekend for the first time. Don't know what to expect. Has anyone been to Anime Matsuri in Houston before?

Yep. And I will be there as well this weekend. Oh how I can't wait for the deliciously overpriced banana pocky! We should hook up and have buttsects. XD
Oh, and it's worth going. Funtimes with added dorkiness.

Sounds like fun. Food is always a good time.
Anyway is it normal to feel embarrassed going to an anime convention?
On one hand I can't wait, on the other I don't want my friends to know! Definately don't want to bump into anyone I know LOL.
Now I understand why my militant black friend didn't want us to find out that he went to the rodeo.

Are you going alone? Do they know you watch anime? Do those questions even matter, if they are your friends, then all should be well. Anime isn't like a furry dickgirl CP fetish.

I felt embarrassed for some of the cosplayers I saw at anime north back in 04.

Aside from that, a good time.

What's nice is you can stop in front of anyone and hop in their animu convo.
