We held an alternative prom, and managed to get half the senior class to come. We had a pool party, airsoft, drinking, wrestling, and movies.

Great way to spend your last year in HS.

I hated the jocks and preps in HS, but strangely, I'm a prep myself now. Ironic?

My friend wanted me to go to the prom just to "talk" heck....I rather be in Starbucks talking than wasting goddamn high price just to talk while having food in my mouth and wearing expensive clothes...

It's just some ideas for ppl with no bf or gf, just go there and talk to ur friends...."Last year of our HS life, we should go to da prom"....

well I never talk in Starbucks, I bet I would save more money and having a great experience drinking coffee and muffins <_<

I don't know if you'd call what we're having a prom. I know it's a big fancy formal dinner at a hotel with possible dancing, but no actual Prom thing. And we have a "dry grad" planned that'll be mixed with a few other schools in the area.

A reg?

Since my hs is in a town just north of Oregon and all those ganster/ghetto Portlanders, we had a fair mix. Wiggers, rednecks, jocks, skaters/punks/rockers, preps, geeks, and the loners.

I think I fit in with.... the skaters/punks/rockers, the preps, geeks, and sometimes the jocks.

HS still blew temendous amounts of ass.

well big fancy formal dinner at a hotel and dance, plus voting for prom queen and king /hmm
That's how prom is in my school.....

Luckily, I'm in a private school so we won't have graduation ceremony mixed with other schools =/
but still even in public school here, they don't usually mix graduation with other schools o_O

Actually I'm not really interested for the rest of the year already, nor am I interested in graduation...since I already got accepted to my first choice's university...and today I already paid the enrollment fee....so I am partially a college student >_<" But I still have to come to school cuz I would fail senior year if I get too much absents TTATT...

Ah thanks volyund, at least somebody I can understand. =^^=

the truth is, later on, you'll probably pay $40-$100 dollars to get into a club, party, or any function
hmm, i guess it's an otaku's way of not doing functions
but come on, prom is the easiest way to get laid
if not for that reason, why wouldn't you go?
the only reason why i didn't go is because crack heads don't go to prom
looking back i should have went just to see everyone that i hated see that i can do something positive
for those that are getting ready to grad, you should definitely go
if it's horrible at least you can make fun of everyone else
since you yourself are not paying you aren't losing out on anything except for virginity
this goes for both the girls and boys

There's some strange circumstances surrounding that. It's not the ceremony we're sharing, just the big dry grad party and it's because our grade got split up. They reconfigured the schools in the district and redrew the boundaries for each, so some people had to change schools against their will a few years ago. I was supposed to go to a different school for grade 11 and 12 but I got stuck with absolute shit even though I applied to get out.

List names of people you don't like.
Then on the final line, write "I'm going to snap soon"

dude, what school you're from? I know the VSB is fucking up everything lately.

I'm not in The VSD, I just use Vancouver as my location because it's more likely to be recognized. And well, every student in BC is getting screwed around.

I honestly think prom is just training for women to realize that they have complete control over men and can force them to pay for just about anything for a chance at getting some.

I remember that I ended up broke for half the summer after dishing out so much money on the senior prom. We didn't even really like each other all that much either, was just a kinda cute girl in the newspaper class who asked me.

Yearbook/newspaper are still probably the easiest freaking english credits you'll ever get in high school probably heh..

Anyways, in my opinion, skip it, no big deal, especially if it's senior prom. As far as grad comments, they really don't matter either, it's just your yearbook class being lazy and adding that junk as filler, trust me, heh..

No one actually submitted grad comments--so far. A few people did but the due date was extended.

I'm not submitting one. That's my final decision.

Submit one or it'll make you look like one those guys that dropped out halfway through the year.

The grad comment appears behind the grad pictures... The ones with the gown and all. You don't get one of those unless you graduate.

well why not just write it? I agree with mensco that not writing it will look like you dropped out halfway through the year........a newbie pop star did dropped out halfway through the year last year so there's no grad comment in his area

heck some grad comments I've seen from previous years only put a sentence in big font
