There are some very manly anime out there (Berserk, Mushishi, City Hunter, Bible Black and many others), and if you're watching Peach Girl or Sailor Moon, that's your problem.

I'd like to call an emergency meeting of the BU Council of Manly Men.

Heard of SaiGAR? Actually, I take that back...

Some anime isn't exactly un-manly. There's a lot in between.

I think desterion actually has a point and sitting indoors watching anything isn't very "manly". But then I'm not one of the people who need to convince themselves or others that they are manly so...

Well what is manly and what is manly, guess that is different from person to person. But if watching anime makes me not manly then so be it i still love it ^^

No one can be 100% manly, then it's too much for your own good.

A LITTLE girly shit is ok, as long as you know when to draw the line.

I'm planning how to watch some anime, and still make it down three blocks down to the usual bar (God damn state street in Madison...) and get a buzz going within an hour and a half for the Wisconsin game, for example, heh.

"Dude, Zellmer, what the hell where you doing that you got here so late?" and I'd have to honestly reply "Watching an anime called kenichi, about a kid who crys a lot and is a coward, but is actually strong because he trains, and posting in an anime forum about what I was going to say to you guys."

Makes whatever you're doing, whether it's working out, watching sports, etc., seem quite a bit less manly heh....

If I were afraid people were questioning my manlihood, I would be much more reluctant to admit watching anime, than sitting here posting shit on a forum. :p

Besides, just putting everything on a masculine - femine scale seems a bit narrowminded. There are numerous more reasons to like a certain anime or manga. Like... I didn't watch Mushishi for it's manliness. Why did I like Nausicaa? For it's manliness? For it's cuteness? The answer is neither...
