i'm going through grandia 3 now. The battle system hasn't changed really at all since the first, and is imo, the best battle systems in all RPGs.

Nah. Star Ocean's free-flowing battle system is my favorite. I hate that turn crap. Only thing I dislike about rpgs.

Gahhh! Star Ocean 2nd Story is one of the hardest RPG-game I ever played! I never did die so many times in an RPG before! Even is Star Ocean 3 has the same free-flowing battle-system, it's somehow a piece of cake in comparison.

...Anyone ever played Vandal hearts 1 + 2 ? It's hard to find a pic of Ash from Vandal Hearts 1, but I found a nice one of Joshua from Vandal Hearts 2. VH2 had me occupied for weeks!
