Is that a play on words, or a spelling error?

Constant Gardener

Meh, I didn't like it. It was VERY lacking.

Eh, some British diplomat is doing some stuff in Africa. his wife is involved in some revolutionary action and gets killed and he tries to figure out what was going on because she wouldn't tell him anything.

Movie is told en media res, so the beginning was a bit confusing trying to figure out what the fuck was going on.

I heard it was a movie full of punchline jokes. Not the usual quality that Jim pulls off.

Usually the remakes aren't as good as the original. The original Flight of the Phoenix was better than the new one. Same with Ocean's Eleven.

Agreed, 100%. Only exception is Peter Jackson.

The Dawn of the Dead remake was pretty fun. Not exactly faithful, but enjoyable.

(I still want to see Shaun, damnit. -_-)

Indeed. I haven't had a chance to see it yet. Combination of laziness, and lack of- yeah, mostly laziness. If I were really desperate, I could just go hire it, and if I were really desperate and poor, I'm sure someone's got a rip of it somewhere.

In conclusion: If you're lazy, you miss out on things!
