Am I the only one who hates going to the dentist? Its not that I'm scared of the dentist but for some reason I always find their offices highly unpleasant.

Well...I mostly don't think much about it, since I haven't had any big operations yet...never really had any sense of fear of doctors of any sort, probably becaus my brain is to lazy to realize that one should be afraid ~
Stupidity can be helpful...

I had an operation when I was like 9. I had broken one of my adult top-end incisors in half and had to get a root canal and then a "crown" as they call it. So now one of my front teeth is half porcelain (I think that's the material but I'm not sure). I remember having to get another crown put on like 2 years ago, and I must admit, it looks and feels really funny to go 3 days missing half a front tooth, especially when you go to eat something.

On a side note, Winamp just decided it hates me and is now going on strike. It just stopped itself in the middle of a song, and now refuses to play anything even though it didn't freeze on me.

Well...that sounds scary...really scary ~
I wouldn't care much to run around with half a tooth (allthoug I can imagine, that it's annoying), but getting half of your tooth smashed with the "killing machine" is quite disturbing *_*

Well...use wmp...just ignore the windows and all is fine ^^

Ugh, naturally you'd remind me I'm due for a cleaning.

...anyone else find that you suddenly become very conscious of the lack of brushing or dental hygenine you've been doing when the dentist says you're in need for a biannual visit?

I'm just back from the dentist and my face has never felt fatter. I had cavities for the first time in my life today. If I wanted to get my lip pierced now would be the time to do it.

Edit * it wasnt the normal hot dentist that did it it was this old dude SMH

I think the pain felt after the dentist might have something to do with the continual jabbing of your teeth and gums with metal sticks

Dentists' always seem to want to sell you a gimmick as well like a $300 toothbrush or some or of whitening product

No thanks I like my $2 toothbrush just fine

You sure, I always thought it would be really cool to have a toothbrush that whirs to the tune of <insert random patriotic song here>. Oh, and let's not forget the blinky lights and built in am/fm radio, because we all know the hell of brushing our teeth in the oh so lonely morning.

Anyway, I am never going to the dentist again, I went in with normal teeth and came out with 3 temperature sensitive teeth.

I most certainly have. Burned CD for the event even. "Music To Get Wisdom Teeth Removed By". Basically a lot of Hendrix, Beatles,...started off with The Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated". The doctors were so taken with the compilation, they asked to keep a copy for future patients.

Ooh, the hallucinations. They gave me a memory supressant, but it appears to have not worked. I vividly recall being on an operating table in the middle of a nightclub with Mardi Gras-colored (purple, green, and yellow) lights moving about. The doctors were assembled around me. They cut open my stomach to find salsa, the perfect match for the tortilla chips they were eating. So there I was. On an operating table, having my innards used as dip.

Anyone else have stories?

I just rock that hard.

Last person to tell me that I make a good storyteller was my theatre history professor. When someone who has sixty years of experience in one of your two majors notes "gosh you write well" on your term paper, you listen.

That A+ saved my grade in that class.

Had to take an introductory class on screenwriting. While my short piece was, well, short, it was inspired. Nothing fantastic, but the dialogue was snappy and the story was interesting.

Not sure where that .doc is...

This...I don't know.

I don't think I even want to.

Arigato and certainly.

In fact, I've an inkling as to where it ran off to. However, moving into the dorm comes first.
