I got spankin's as a young child but only when I did something wrong enough to deserve it, otherwise I sent to my room or just scolded. I probably quit getting spankin's after 6ish. I really didn't do much to deserve it often so it hardly ever happened, otherwise I was just grounded.

As for being the oldest, my little brother gets to do tons of shit that I was yelled at all the time before. My parents were much more tempermental with me. Probably because I wasn't "planned." I didn't do much talking back, I as stubborn however, but would just storm off if I didn't like it. I knew better than to talk back to my parents.

I hate the kids who act embarassingly in front of their parents and even more so in front of company. YOU WERE ALWAYS ON BEST BEHAVIOR IN FRONT OF COMPANY. Kids have no sense of respect anymore.

I was wise enough to watch what I said. People came to ME when they wanted to resolve something.

What long-term benefit does fighting get you? Nothing.

But for how long? And would it not be the same if fighting hadn't been brought up in the first place?

Practice for what? Going out and pulling a Chuck Norris on Syria? Gimme a break.

Oh god not this crap again.

There are times when you're gonna have to fight. When a group of pricks aren't going to let you off with jsut name calling and pulling your hair. I know you live in quiet little simpletown, but it's not the same everywhere. You get jumped quite a lot down here if you don't watch your back. Some jerks at a live will beat you up because you stood up for your female friends.

Sure, don't fight when you don't have to, but once you cross that line, there's no coming back. You have no idea what the other person is thinking. Once you're there, you have to go all the way and not stop until you know for sure that fucker won't be doing anything to you.

Practice should be obvious. You don't jump into a fucking ocean if you've never tried swimming.

Don't need to. It's a fact that California, New York, Texas, and Florida are the top four most populated states. If you lived in any of them, then I might have consented to equal crime rates, poverty, unemployment, immigration, and all those other pretty little factors that lead to uncivil behavior.

Now take into account the fact that south florida is where it's most highly populated. North Florida has city's as small as Macintosh with 500 citizens. To have the majority of florida population concentrated amongst south florida, orlando, and maybe jacksonville and gainesville, and STILL be one of the top four most populated states? The population density in south florida drives people crazy.

and what do you have? One desert city? Some mexicans? Oh, boo-hoo.

The area where I live (Long Island), its getting a bit over populated. Suffolk county is still pretty open but I feel like Nassau is turining into Queens. On the other hand the crime rate here is very low so I guess overpopulation is all I can complain about.

4 million people in a desert city is pretty populated.

Just an educated guess, is all.
