Unfortunately most Christians (Disclaimer: by "most" I mean more than 70% of Christians, and I do not imply that it's 70% of Christians in this forum. In fact I believe that people in this forum as especially smart and tolerant, and thus fall into 30% that I do not consider "most".) do consider homos evil or lesser human beings... that's just the nature of mass religion Christianity is.
And according to Bible sex is supposed to be for PROcreation, and not REcreation, so that's why it would make sense Christianity wise to consider any method of birth-control evil. (Afterall the goal of Christianity is to increase the number of believers, and the easiest way to do it is give birth to more of them!)
Of course in this day and time it doesn't make sense, but that's "logic". And "logic" never has been the strong point of the Church.

70% is pretty high there. In Italy and America probably, but I am pretty sure the French, British and most Germans dont really care.

I don't see where following millennium's old beliefs is being a nazi. Plus, as far as I know, nazi considered homosexuel as sick or retard people (therefore without involving God) and I don't remember them having an Office of Propaganda against Condoms. O_o

most Orthodox are intolerant,
and about half of Protestants are intolerant.

So if you average it out, most Christians are intolerant.

I currently don't HATE anybody, and I am very happy about it.
I however strongly dislike organized religions (except Buddhism) including the largest of them, Catholicism.That is because too much blood has been spilled in the name of Christian god (and other mass religion gods).

On the side note, I do have very good Christian friends, so I don't judge or dislike people based on their religion. But do judge and dislike religions.

um... if i were to hate (but i don't, not too seriously) against any particular christian group it WOULD be catholics... as a group (not necessarily certain decent people like maybe forbidden) they tend to be the most guilty when it comes to trying to interfere with the freedoms and lives of non-christians. Or other christians, for that matter.

I really do believe (more and more with everyday of being here) that this forum represents better part of the world. That small percentage that is actually interesting, smart, and tolerant.

And yes, every country has racism, or some kind of discrimination. I was the only foreigner in my school in Japan, so I did get mass picked on. And that is percisely the reason that I would never make anyone feel that way.

It's a bit outdated to say that since John Paul II did everything to establish warm relationships with others religions and especially jews. He even strongly comdemned and regreted the Holocaust (which is understandably very important to jews) when he visited Yad Vashem.

At the moment and with the current situation in Mideast, catholics are far from being jews worst enemies. Very far.

Now if you want a stupid historical explanation, they're supposed to have killed the son of God, the Messiah, Jesus Christ. ^^
