Anyway, you're a bunch of spoiled brats.

In France class pictures aren't even legal since you have to buy them and trades of any kind are forbidden in school (though most school do it anyway, fortunately).

And in our senior year, we cram at home the last months before the final exams then take them (not always at the same places and times than our classmates and with teachers from other schools) and three weeks later the results are posted just at the entrance of the school since it's already summer vacation (or on internet). And finally at the end of the summer we get our diploma by mail.

Not yearbook, prom, ceremony, not even a handshake by the principal, NO NOTHING!

You obviously have no idea how lucky you are to have the choice. And if you think I'm being a sanctimonious bitch, I don't give a flying fuck. I loved highschool and highschool loved me, you losers. -_-

yes, spend on a book that has nothing worthwhile on it, and on a big party where high school "couples" pretend to not be bored to tears because they shelled out tons of money for their dresses and suits, not even counting what they paid just to be at the prom, all so that the next day they can get together at lunchtime and bitch about how not fun it was. And then go shake hands with a principle you probably never talk to, so that he can hand you a fake diploma after which you go somewhere else to get the actual one.

Because, honestly, how long can you bitch about nothing at all? As I said the results are given once school is over. Most people are about to go or already in vacations.

Do you have any idea how miserable it can be? I mean, you spend 10/11 years in school and the end of it is signing your recorded delivery to some jaded postman whose already delivered 20 of them before you that same day.

Prom? Pre-prom was a big, awkward fiasco with dates and such, during prom was boring and post prom? We ended up at a friend's house playing poker 'til ~4am.

I skipped prom. I stayed at home and ate dinner, then got ready and me and my cousin went to the hotel everyone was staying at and drank there. No way was I paying 200 bucks for a fucking retarded three-four hour BS.

I went to Prom with my BF. It was only $45/ticket at my school. My dress was expensive, but I got to be all dressed up, get a professional hair up do, and makeup and feel beautiful so it was worth it for me. Plus I didn't make my BF get limo (we drove) or pay for my ticket, so it was fair.

I never went to my prom either, being surrounded by people I hated was not my idea of a good time. I went over my friends house where a bunch of us sat around and drank. I had a much better time doing that then going to the prom.
