I bought asprin and some groceries last

People don't drop 15,000 dollars on their first guitar, when they are not even sure if they want to invest serious interest into the hobby

I bought the guitar from a friend so the ridiculously low price isn't really representative of the quality, although it is an epiphone so it's rather cheap to begin with.

@Koma
Is yours an epiphone as well? The price sounds about right. I still have to buy an amp...yours come in a package?

Shit, that's an insanely good deal for a start up package. I wanted to buy one for my roommate, haven't had much luck finding one for under 200 dollars though.

My cuban-acoustic guitar cost 100. Three nylon strings and three steel ones. Changed them once when Im bought them and only had to replace them twice over two years.

I don't like electric guitars.

Yep, best thing was the guy that worked in the guitar section assembled it all for me. I just sat back and watched.

I went back a few weeks later and bought a strap [ wicked sick one that has all kinds of ghost skulls on it :D ] but thats not something thats desperately required to play the guitar.

I can't stand sitting down with an electric guitar or a bass. An acoustic is understable but I have to stand to play bass.

Almost got a pair of Rockport shoes, but decided I didn't want to spend $135 at that moment. Maybe tomorrow...
