So...what do you do for a living?

Postby Spike » Thu Jan 20, 2005 3:14 am

Yeah, well what do you do for a living? I for myself am still a student in high school (I think that should be right) and work of my food as the house slave...I kinda suck at beeing smart, but I am quite good (i.e. efficient) at dooing daily chores (which I do regret to some extend...)
Soo...I'd like to know what you guys do? What kinda job you have, if you're still (or again) unemployed or are still a student.

I'm a university student majoring in international relations
and I work in the main library on campus as a cataloger . . . meaning I verify bibliographic information for all the new books that come into the library while simultaneously posting on this forum -- not a very interesting job . . .but convient and I love my co-workers

. . . *goes back to checking information on the new books as boss walks by*

Right now I'm an unemployed bum (literal meaning, not fanclub) that doesn't go to school. I would be going to school but I missed my colleges registration deadline this semester. Although accidental, it was purely my fault. Within a month or so I'll be employed as a substitute teacher.

I use to make tons of money in high school selling cigarettes alone. My brother would buy them and I would be the distro and we split the profits. Was making about $75 a week net. It was great.

At the current moment I am a baker while I save money to go to school. Trust me, its no where close to as fun as Yakitate Japan makes it out to be.

I just talk to Japanese people in English ..... and get paid a heck of a lot to do it. They call it "teaching", but it's more like flirting. Anyway, it pays the bills and I can continue living my dream out in Tokyo, so I like it.

I work in the advertising business, designing and producing advertisement material. Been doing it for the past 5 years. The pay is OK, hours can get long sometimes, but it works for me.
