hmmm, I wonder if that's gonna be you (or me) in another 20+ years.

Is anime something that people eventually get over, or do the older watchers just go into hiding out of fear of society?

I dunno if I'll ever outright quit but surely wont be as entrenched as I am now.

Plus in 20 years many will have changed, I bet we wont be able to just get a sub as easily as we can today. Not to mention that anime in general might just become too far away from our demographic interests.

I think it's something that we all will slowly grow a little out of, but can still enjoy. Like Lucky-7 said, we'll probably just not be as entrenched in it later as we are now. I mean, we'll have a lot more to do later. Raise kids and marriage, for some of us. For others, maybe a career or just something else. I know though, that for myself, I'll always have that special place reserved for my love of anime. And it'll probably be a closet full of all the DVD's and manga books that I'll watch or read from time to time. ^_^

I've met people who're on the verge of transferring to their death bed and act less mature than a seven year old. Age does not necessarily constitute maturity, to a degree, of course, as you can't logically assume that a seven year old could act like a mature "on the verge of the death bed" adult unless for some extraordinary circumstance.

I'm seventeen years of age.

lol seventeen’s a fun age.
You’re old enough to be treated like an adult.
Yet still have the luxury of acting like a kid.

I can only act like a kid online. I'm too big to really be seen as a "child".

I'd say toddler. Infants can't walk yet.

I'm 20 this August. August 25th, in fact. Man, I feel like I'm getting old and should start acting more like an adult everyday.

My father is more childish than I am.. I will envy him one day. He sings to kids for a living, it's pretty funny.
