Shakedown's response, while boorish, was not only completely true to his character displayed thus far, but also well stated. Not to mention, quite effective at eliciting a response from you that was as equally contrived and tasteless as his: an attempt to belittle and discredit his original remark - rather cliché and quite defensive, yet also nicely matching the character you have displayed.

This is a ‘what’s your age’ thread after all . . . is it such a difficult question?

You're putting WAY too much thought into this.

"This is a ‘what’s your age’ thread after all . . . is it such a difficult question?"

aight, this should go without saying but I'll explain it to you.

"old enough -_-" is a pun, IE older than I'd like to be, older than I'd like to admit etc etc.

"Shakedown's response, while boorish, was not only completely true to his character displayed thus far, but also well stated."

Anything containing the term "jerk off" isnt well stated, quite the opposite actually.

"Not to mention, quite effective at eliciting a response from you"

How big of a "DUH" should I post for this brilliant analysis?

He suceeded in getting a response from me? on a disscussion forum?? NO WAY!
I always thought forums were basicly a buch of people talking to themselves and reading each others monologues! What a cunning fellow he must be to have tricked me into his game!

"that was as equally contrived and tasteless as his: an attempt to belittle and discredit his original remark - rather cliché and quite defensive, yet also nicely matching the character you have displayed."

Basicly you're saying that me responding to a post commenting how lame "jack off kiddy" was is in itself "cliche" and "defensive"

...

...

...

I'm at a loss for words at your total lack of;

A) common sense as to your innability to differenciate between childish riles and an actual comeback.

B) the irony of your comments. By the standarts that you've explainned at lenght you're just as "bad" as I am.

yet also nicely matching the character you have displayed.

..me acting according to my own character?

Good thing captain obvious here told me that, I would have been TOTALLY lost as to who I was had he not specified that -_-

No hate. . . just playing along with everyone else while simultaneously attempting to redirect this thread back to its original purpose just in case anyone else actually wanted to post their age. Apparently I failed on both attempts . . . how sad for me.
And Shakedown, Lucky-7 certainly does have a sense of humor . . . or at least I find this little string to be mildly amusing; my assumption that Lucky-7 does too could be way off base.

So how old is everyone then?

You are correct sir!

The reason I flame is for entertaiment purposes, sadly you did not bite BUT there's always a constant flow of new people who just might prove entertainning.

And to answer your question; I'm 25. Wich is by no means "old" but I'm still called "oji-san" by that bastard 10sigh.

(I'll get him someday... and his little dog too)

What? "Oji-san"? For a twenty a bit unaproprieate (oh yeah, who thought up that stupid word...) statement...
But no sweat, there should be a couple o ppl around who are way older, so it might make you feel better ~

And Scapes returns to monitor his threads, only to find a few sparks.

Huh. And I thought that it'd be Spike and Mely at each others throats with this topic.

Post count vs. Post quality

Postby Slejpner » Fri Feb 04, 2005 10:04 pm

I have to agree with Lucky-7 on the subject of post counts. I think basically they're more misleading than useful. I mean, just because you talk much, should that raise your status? Are people who talk a lot by definition more relevant to listen to? I don't think so. Personally i would disable them, i if ever set up a forum.

I think "Post quality" would be a much better thing to indicate - unfortunately it's pretty much impossible to make such a system ;)
