Writing Reviews

I would also suggest go submit your reviews at our manga site too while we work out the tiny details of review writing for the anime site.

http://www.manga.baka-updates.com

Start accustoming yourself to it. We think the layout and navigation is free and may be brought over to anime site in some other form at some point later.

Doesn't this section seem redundant considering you allow users to review the anime you look up in the database?

That feature is hardly used and it seem some people make it to forums before the going to the main site somehow

I haven't read the manga for the one I want to review, so how do I review an anime? Just make a thread in this forum following the guidelines for reviewing (categories and such) in the manga reviews?

Writting a review sounds fun, but I'm at a loss for what series to write about.

So, I'll do requests (if I've seen the series of course).

Not that I'm saying I'm the greatest writer or anything,
just that I'd rather work on something that people would want to read.

That and I'd be stuck with only writting about stuff that I liked.

Still, I dunno what to do about the anime I wanna review. Where exactly would I submit the review? Just creating a topic in this forum? Follow any guidelines? I'm very confused...

Well, you're pretty much the first one (I think) to use this thread for real. So be a test case, and just do whatever, and then we'll figure out what people should actually do. Make sure your review doesn't suck, I think thats a good enough guideline. ^_^

Someone who actually knows...please correct this is I'm wrong.

Music: x/10
Animation: x/10

Story:

Well, as far as for the manga site.. there really is no requirement on what you put in the actual content. You can put images, or links to other pages... or whatever. (We'll download the images upon review submission and put them on our server). You can leave out sections, create your own... Those that are there are really just suggested, and some people actually do remove some of them.

It's really up to you. Reviews are just if you really want to say something about a manga or anime that you really want other people to know. We'll try to make it look pretty if you make spelling mistakes, etc.

As far as editing reviews, I REALLY want to implement this, but have had no time because of school. Now that it is over, I will have more time during summer school to write extra modules, so you might just see this.

Always new and cool stuff in the works---

I'd like to post full blown reviews on Baka-Updates, but it seems once someone's posted a full review on an anime, all you can do is submit comments afterwards. I was hoping to add some of my insights from my own blog, too. :swt:

Any remedy for this, Admin peeps? I really want to contribute to the site, and the comment system isn't enough for the stuff I've written, hehe.

Thanks, minna. /no1

Didn't know we had to submit them, I just kinda did one for Eureka Seven, the thing that irked me is that the picture I tried to submit didn't work for some reason or another. I know it would be hard to do but is there anyway to give the author the green light to go back and edit anything? I mean I did the review before even joining the forums so I know it probably won't work, but I thought I'd ask.
