Agh, and they're still running those tours five years later. NZers really get worked up about that whole "OMG A MOVIE WAS FIMLED HERE GAIZ" thing... .. hmm, good point. Yeah, so I think I was really on to something with that off the cuff remark about Japanese liking anime because it's all set in Japan.

Hmm, I'm wishing I'd bothered to get off my arse and go be an extra in some of the big battle scenes though.. I've known plenty of people who've been able to point themselves out in a few scenes in the background of a huge fight. It's quite weird.

Yah, it's totally like that. It's cool how no one had heard of them, no one listened to their radio stuff or went to their gigs until they got an overseas TV show, then all of a sudden we couldn't wait to see the show on tv here. NZ is cool.

Think you might be mistaking something. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the remake of the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime. Have to say the annoying part of the remake is that the first 15 or so episodes are rehash, but it's still decent. The original was pretty good as well.
