Oh yeah, that should be pretty cool I miss Hellsing.

I'm looking forward to it, but I'm always wary. After all, the last Hellsing effort was a piss poor conversion of the manga. It looks pretty enough from the few scans I've seen and I'm insanely glad that Anderson got a new seiyuu, but I would've liked to have seen an entire cast change. None of the seiyuu choices (in the original anime) fit as well as I would've liked.

I find it hard to be judgemental on Hellsing... It was perfect for when I saw it, as a testosterone filled bag of random dissatisfaction with whatever silly thing was bothering me at the time. Late teen malaise, check.

You know, the funniest thing I ever heard, regarding Hellsing, was someone complaining about the dub... Not the usual, "Zomg, it sux0rs" complaint... But more... "Why does everyone have a british accent?"... I had to stop and think for a little while.

In the end I just marked it down as just another brainless moron, and went about my day. It still made me chuckle, though.

I haven't read the Hellsing manga, though, so I don't have a frame of reference. I was just infatuated with Celes, which is usually enough to float a show, for me.

And, because I'm lazy, c&p from another post!

Myself, @CN wrote:I'll be hoping people sub Kagihime, the new UFO Princess series, Manabi Straight(loli+UFO Table? Sold), the inevitable pre-licensed Ergo Proxy and Fate/Stay, and when's Disgaea? Next season now?

I'll check out Utawarerumono (Mutsumi ahoy!), Hantsuki? (The splash image looks nice?)...

At least there's always more Gonzo for leaf to hate, and I'm sold on REC on the splash image alone.

There appears to be more A!MG? Hm. Tokko's a watcher, and Black Lagoon if it ever comes out... Nana, too? (Man, it's getting a bunch of hyping.)

Hey, wait... Is that the G-On Riders people? Sold.

We all know we're going to be watching Air Gear, but that's likely not a "winter" release. On that note, neither is Black Lagoon, now. Nor are half of these, I guess. This looks cute, as does this . Tonagura this year, too. Loli? Hgame conversion ahoy!

Another show on my "to watch" list that I know next to nothing about. It was ranked the number 1 shoujo (despite the fact that it's supposedly josei) by Oricon and it's been in the top sellers lists many a time. It's fairly popular amongst shoujo/josei fans. I figure that's reason enough to check it out.

I've read some of Nana. It went through a couple of scanlators, and the ones who did it did nonsensical releases, and I got thoroughly confused. The lack of non-IRC methods of acquisition helped seal the coffin there, for me.

That said, I really enjoyed the first three or so volumes, which is all I have. It's definately a notch more adult than normal shoujo in tone, which is why it's tagged as josei, but still interesting to read.

Story of two women named Nana, who become friends. It wasn't enthralling enough to make me chase it really hard, though. I'm curious to watch the anime, because anime requires less... commitment, in a way.

Mainly because they're generally easier to find, download and consume. Heh. Lazy++, or so.

And yeah, it sells well. *coughunderstatementcough*

I'm not anticipating it with great buckets of frothing demand or anything, that's reserved for Disgaea (or is it? I'm mostly apathetic to it, unless they keep the same artist, and make sure Etna's around... Nya.), but heh. I'm curious to see how it all goes.

kinda reminds me of one peice though

I'd like to read the manga but as for the accusation of it being like One Piece...One Piece is a comedy..with very original animation. Black Lagoon looks FAR from a comedy but I might be wrong.

As for other series mentioned they aren't scheduled for January so I avoided mentioning them. A lot of comedy is airing this season but that's pretty normal considering Japanese tastes.

Ah! I remembered. Aria season two has been announced. The first season isn't even over yet, so I'm not sure when it will even air. It is still on my "to watch" list, though. ^^

I couldn't get myself interested in Aria. I watched the first episode, and while it is a slice of life series, I don't see what the large appeal is. It came off very ho-hum.

Add Kage Kara Mamoru! to my list. Smells like your standard harem/comedy with a useless hero, but get this... he can turn into a competant ninja when needed! ZOMG! Sounds stupid. I'm in. /no1

When they've aired, and people have had time to translated, edit, time and encode the damn things. Shut up and wait, or do you prefer whining at the groups, who don't much care either way?

WTF is with everyone bitching at everyone else on these boards lately? It's like someone did a mass-shafting. :o

Kage Kara Mamoru!

If that one's good, I'm definitely gonna pick it up.
